Just passing through. I usually don't stop here because it seems unfriendly to truckers and I was right. Next time ill continue on to Ellensburg. Which is such a waste because with such a big building attached to a big truck parking lot, you could easily put a Hot food case with chips, candy, and soda in the front, local tshirts or whatever for sale and capitalize on that market while also having a sit down restaurant space. So much unused seating when I came. The staff were just cleaning. One server one was happily attentive to me. The lounge was closed, a whole event area dark and gloomy. Bathrooms locked for customers only with Porta potties outside with no toilet paper stocked. The menu is lacking identity, specializing in nothing but trying to hit everything with as little words possible. Just sucks. Such a huge space, so much potential, lacks vision and ingenuity and capitalism. Go to a Pilot or Flying J, they have convenience and restaurant. This restaurant shuts out truckers, "buy what we have or dont come in". Isn't the goal of a business to make money? Maybe I'm wrong, looks like something else was here before, maybe it didn't do well, or maybe they also sucked at it. Idk, just my 2 cents. Maybe I'll try it again
We had breakfast.
Biscuits and gravy, Meat and vegetable omelette.
Meats (ham, sausage and bacon) vegetables (tomato, green peppers, onion, jalapenos)
Omelet arrived hot Hashbrowns arrived warm Toast was cold
Biscuits and gravy arrived warm. Sent it back to be reheated. It returned slightly warmer. The biscuit was good The gravy tasted like it came out of a can, very thin and runny. We were not impressed.
The place is very clean, The service is good.
The server was courteous and answered all of our questions.
The food was just okay. Will I return? NO!
I will drive another 10 miles to Wapato and eat at the Wolf Den
We wanted a decent meal but not fast food and my girlfriend didn't want any burgers so we thought we'd try this place since they have a option to call in orders and wr wanted our meal at home since it was already late; I ordered a cheeseburger and fries and my girlfriend ordered a club sandwich with fries. However we didn't expect to be paying almost $30 for the two orders especially without beverages! A basic cheeseburger with fries seems pretty basic, shouldn't cost more than $8 $10 at the most and no more than $12 for a club sandwich is what we were expecting especially without beverages but the downfall to this rating is definitely the prices! $27 and nothing too drunk. Although the food was delicious and the order was fast and the service was friendly and professional we'd enjoy dining again.
P.S. They also have these HUGE cinnamon rolls readily available at the front counter too that we can't wait to try next visit!
