I picked up my tux today for my brother's wedding this weekend and Jonathan Naka saved the day! Yes, I asked for his first and last name to make sure I could give him the credit he is due.
There were a few problems with my initial reservation for whatever reason, and Jonathan took care of me like a real pro.
It could've been a stressful day but all is well!
Last week I purchased one of their Egara shirts in the store. Out of the package it fit nicely, as I was checking out I was told by the girl ringing the sale "this is washer and dryer safe". It was an "no iron" shirt so I certainly hoped it was washer/dryer safe. As almost anyone would do, I took it home and washed it.
After removing it from the dryer, I noticed bubbles on the cuffs and collar, not only that, the shirt was a wrinkly mess, unlike any other no iron shirt I own.
The following week I go back to the store to return it. This is where the real problems start. I wait for about 10-15 minutes before someone comes to the register to do the return. The employee tries several times without success to complete the return, they are nice and apologetic and clearly haven't been well trained by management, so I can't blame them, I'm asked to return tomorrow to try again because they are out to lunch with other partners because they were doing store visits...ironic. So I return the following day, wait another 15 minutes before someone notified the assistant manager, who is the only one of their staff in the store who can do a return...he asks me if anything is wrong with it and I say "Yes the collar bubbled, it shrank and is very much a 'must' iron shirt" At this point I'm told that they can't return it because it's been washed...despite being explicitly told that the shirt is washer and dryer safe. That's right, if you're shirt falls apart in the wash the day after you buy it, they will tell you that's not their policy and not their problem. I literally asked him before walking out "you don't warranty anything you sell?" He replied "no". It's no wonder these shirts are what they bundle with their prom suits. I spent $35 and three trips to their store for the privilege of writing this review. I don't think I've ever been somewhere so out of touch with reality in the retail market before. So hopefully whatever the profit off the shirt was worth losing me an anyone else who reads this review as a customer.
