I was a longtime patient of Dr. Chorak’s. I’ve had 2 rounds of braces and then aligners. The most recent experience with him and his staff has led me to switching care.
At one appt, the tech was complaining about the amount of adjustments he had to do for my aligners that day right in front of me. He was rushing and throwing the tools around then pulled my bottom lip so hard it split open and was bleeding for days. He didn’t acknowledge it and was unprofessional the whole time. I’ve never felt so unsafe and uninformed as I did at that visit. I spoke to the office manager after that and she said she’d relay my concerns to Dr. Chorak but I never heard back. You’d think that when it comes to patient safety/comfort the doctor would call you. After that experience, it’s felt hostile from the staff every time I’ve gone in.
I’ve left many voicemails about issues/questions related to my treatment over the last year, but they never once returned my calls. Don’t make the mistake I did and get a second opinion before starting the aligners they so heavily push onto you.
