I love Microcenter. Their bundle deals are extremely good, and they often have things on clearance when being phased out but absolutely still relevant. Employees were helpful and knowledgeable. Unlike Amazon, I trust Microcenter product reviews much more. I picked up a case and a few other things to finish my build. It was based on some used parts I bought on eBay, but one of the Microcenter cpu, mobo, and ram bundles would have been a better value in hindsight.
2 Year Warranty Scam. DO NOT PURCHASE A little under 2 years ago I purchased a graphics card and the person ringing me up pushed a 2 year protection plan on me like a sleazy car salesman saying bring it back before it expires to trade out the card for something new. Sounds like an amazing deal, well I bring it in and they won’t honor it. How many protection plans were sold to people hoping they’d forget about it just for the sake of milking the customer? They don’t even offer this plan anymore I’m assuming for situations like mine. I’ve been doing business with microcenter for years and this was the most unprofessional handling of a wrongdoing to a loyal customer. Even with a broken pin on the graphics card to control the RGB settings they said it has to have performance issues for it to qualify. To the service department manager in St Louis Park, do better to maintain a good relationship with your customers.
