I've been a loyal customer to Midas since 2017, I always enjoyed the fact that I wasn't haggled into extra items and they seemed to be a no bull location. As a woman, I feel like the stereotype is that I don't know anything and I'd be easy to sucker into more money. But that never happened.... until recently.
My last two visits have been less than stellar. I replaced my windshield wipers (Bosch Icons, a great brand!) And a month later had an appt for an oil change and was told I need new wiper blades and they could do that for me for an extra fee. I told them my blades were brand new and they still tried convincing me to buy new ones. This last time, I came in for another routine oil change, and the man at the counter told me my check engine light was on when my car came in (it wasn't) and for an extra fee they could diagnose the problem.. I said no, got in my car and the check engine light still wasn't on.
I'm just not happy with the sudden need to try to convince me to spend more money on unnecessary things. I'm working on finding a different place to go from now on.
Older van cylinder head stripped and blew out the spark plug causing damage. Loud van noise and jerking movements. Had to set appointment and get repaired. I have always had a positive experience with them. They have shown me pictures of problems areas and kept me informed with telephone calls. Van works perfectly now.
