We’ve gone to Middle C Music for years for guitar and violin. The staff is always knowledgeable, courteous, and helpful for all levels of musicians. In particular, their violin rental program was an amazing and economical way to get my 7-year-old son started on the instrument. As my son grew, they swapped the old instrument for a larger one to fit his growing body. Today, he graduated to an adult sized violin, and the rental credits applied to us now owning the new instrument outright. All the staff are good, but Tom has been especially helpful in answering our questions and ensuring the condition of my son’s violin. Highly recommend Middle C, especially for children starting out on instruments.

Sent in a guitar asking for a pickup fix, wanted to give it to someone as a Christmas gift. They sent it to a repair person for 2 MONTHS. Every time I checked in the shop they told me “it’ll be here in a few days”. Finally got it back after more than two months and they haven’t even TOUCHED the guitar. I’m so grateful they left all of the wires sticking out and didn’t even bother to screw the cover back on. It was a perfect reminder of how terrible the customer service is. When I asked what happened they said they didn’t know what happened. Ridiculous and embarrassing.

Our 14 year old decided they wanted to learn to play the violin. They took lessons with Potter for several months and really enjoyed it and learned quite a bit - it was a highlight of their weekends. Potter was kind and encouraging. We had to stop the lessons due to conflicts but hope to get back to them again in a few months.
