First time for me and my son to try a bomb, which is, in our case, a Mexican bun or matcha bun, respectively, filled with your choice of available ice cream, sorbet, etc. fillings. We had the banana rocky road and respectively. Both were very good and the bombs were excellent. They also have cones and cups for traditionalists.
The only service issue was no samples, but the guys were very pleasant and helpful otherwise. This is the first ice cream store I've been to that doesn't allow you a taste.
As for atmosphere, there really is none, since they did not allow customers inside for some reason. You could sit at their tables and chairs outside, but you have to deal with those who don't respect that they are for customer use and, the passing dregs of society, druggies and smokers. The area is one of the worst in downtown, so best of luck to them. I will only put us there if we're close by for somewhere else.
