Our son recently moved on from Mimi Daycare to enter preschool, and his departure from this incredibly special place was filled with so much emotion and reflection. For nearly two years, Grace was a "mom away from mom" to our son. She and her wonderful team nurtured him, supported him, and loved him as if he were their own son. When he had a hard time adjusting to daycare initially (due to his shyness, especially post-pandemic), Grace held him each and every day and constantly came up with creative ways to make him feel safe and comfortable.
Grace's home is meticulously clean, organized, and has a wonderful, engaging outdoor space. Inside the home, there are multiple stations filled with activities and toys, all of which are thoroughly cleaned daily. For meal times, she feeds the kids highly nutritious foods as well. Each day, the children do many arts/crafts activities and learn so much through music and movement. Our son came home completely fluent in Mandarin even though we do not speak it regularly at home.
During our two years there, our son thrived in ways that were only possible with the love and dedication that Grace gave him. While he misses Grace terribly, we also see that his time in her daycare equipped him with confidence, maturity, and emotional intelligence to prepare him for the next big chapter of entering preschool.
As a parent, entrusting the care of your child to another individual is a big decision, and ultimately it's a leap of faith. Grace has become like family to us, so instead of a leap of faith, what it truly feels like is having a "mom away from mom." We wholeheartedly recommend Mimi Daycare, this place is simply a gem. We are forever grateful to Grace and her team for the special role they played in nurturing and loving our son in these early, formative years of his life.
