My parents took me to Miniature World at the conclusion of first grade in the mid-1980s and I loved it, I was geeked up about it for the rest of the evening. Flashforward nearly four decades and was in Victoria again on a cruise port day. I used this opportunity to visit Miniature World again and even as a 40-something I still enjoyed the 60+ dioramas which cover a wide variety of themes from Canadian geography to medieval and ancient history to science fiction and fantasy. A really enjoyable couple of hours.

My mom and I are both miniature geeks, and we personally did not feel like this was worth it for the money we payed to get in. The dioramas were beautiful and extremely detailed, but the size of the museum was disappointing for us. Wouldn't visit again. If you frequently travel and are looking for something similar, Kansas City MO has a toys and miniatures museum that is incredible and vast.

It's a really nice fun thing to do when you're in victoria, we took our time and looked at all the fun little miniatures, the day and night cycles were especially cool to experience and I really liked the old frontier settings. For sure fun to bring kids to see. Or adults nerds.
