I want to start by saying that I have had quite a few facials, from different places and people. I have had several that we great and very enjoyable. However, there are only a few that I can say were amazing and a facial with Terra at MJ's tops the list! The personal attention starts from the moment you walk in the door you are greeted with a smile and made to feel very welcome. I appreciate her attention and respect she gives to your schedule, never making you wait to be seen. She makes you feel like you are her only client. Once in the room, she gives you all of the instructions you need to get ready for your facial service. I find myself looking around at the tastefully simple decorations. I especially love the chandelier with the blown glass bubbles floating above. The sound of the soft ocean playing in the background comes through and I imagine myself laying on a beach, sand beneath my body and waves crashing in the distance. You can feel the warmth of the bed warmer; which of course lends itself to the feeling of the sun warmed sand lulling you into full relaxation. Terra quietly comes in and starts your service. The warm towels that smell of lavender and mint are heavenly. With her smooth sure movements you feel a calm and an escape from whatever weighed on you when you originally walked into the spa. The clean subtle smells of the different products being applied to your skin are mesmerizing. I love smelling the real plants, nothing fake or weird. The feeling of these wonderful products on your face is nothing short of amazing! Then before you know it, you are done. This is by far the saddest part of the visit. It always goes tremendously fast and I always wish that I had booked a longer session. Not sure if eight hour sessions are frowned upon, but that would be the session for me! I am sure Terra would be exhausted. However, it all must and does come to a relaxing end. At which time you gather yourself up and head out to the lobby. To again be greeted by a warm smile, bottle of water, and some various samples or products that you need to make your skin well. Not to mention that I always need a few bottles of her specially handcrafted SKIN EDEN skincare line. LOVE this skincare. I have extremely sensitive skin and there are very few things I am able to use without experiencing terrible skin issues. I have used many skin products, none of them inexpensive, and all of them causing more problems. I am happy to pay for products that won't harm my face and instead heal it. A no brainer for me. If you have been unsure of getting a facial, have had a terrible facial in the past, or just flat out love great facials...you need to make an appointment with Terra! You will not be disappointed and you will be thrilled you found a new facial home that also offers amazing products for your beautiful face.
