They don't rent wheelchair accessible vans to people in wheelchairs... let that sink in. They will not put hand controls or even a drivers transfer seat in a rental van. So if you are like so many, an active wheelchair users (ie Disabled) then you can not rent their van. You can have an able bodied person rent the van and they can drive you around, but if you are alone or travelling for work or leisure on your own, you are out of luck. To be fair, its not just Absolute Mobility, none of the wheelchair accessible van rental companies do this anymore. Yes, they use to but not any more I guess we are to risky. They will be happy to take your money when you buy a van and very happy to install hand controls and transfer seats but you have to buy the van not rent it.

Our experience with this company has been the worst purchase of a vehicle ever. Once we had picked out a vehicle and were working through the paperwork we couldn't get Ayla, the agent we worked with to call us back. If they put her in charge of your vehicle...run the other way!!! It took several days and numerous calls to get her to finally call us back with status information. Since then we've found out that they registered our vehicle to the wrong address and when we received our license plates there weren't tabs or registration with them. We had to make a trip to the licensing place to change the address and they told us it was likely that they had our tabs and registration. Rather than trying to work with them to get this documentation we decided to pay money to get replacement tabs. We'll find another auto dealer to work with when we need the replacement vehicle even if it means driving across the state to Spokane.

This is our second Van that we have got with Absolute Mobility, they are located in Tacoma and Woodinville and we was so impressed with their knowledge, they are all very good, Amanda, Eddie, Shane, Ayla, now they know how the paperwork is suppose to be and are very accommodating to a person with disabilities. they will offer a scooter when going into their showroom, explain the different features, there is lots to learn and if you can't remember it all, they are only a phone call away. We went to Woodinville because they have lots on inventory and ended up going back more than once, 60 miles from our home, but a trip well worth getting help that knows what they are talking about. We really would recommend them in a heart beat. Great bussiness
