I was required to take this "class" via telephone to qualify for a re-fi. Tom was my first contact, and immediately put me at ease regarding the company I would be sharing information with. I was guaranteed none of my personal info would go farther than HUD. I made a phone appt. with the councilor (Ramona, I think), and her call to me was prompt on time. She explained the entire process in small sections, then asked me questions to be sure I understood, before proceeding to the next section. The entire process took about 45 minutes, at which time she told me I had passed the course, and the certificate would be sent to my e- mail. Bonus: in California, the class is FREE, whereas in many other states it costs $125 or more. I am pleased to offer this posting for Money Management International, and believe the type of class should be required for everyone buying or re-financing a property or home.
