Here lies the mysterious Monkey grave on the edge of the Eastern Sierra as part of a rather extensive Pet Cemetery. It’s unclear why this particular grave even shows up on Google Maps. It might not be a pet grave after all but a resting place for some local character given the moniker “Monkey”. I did find an unusual skull on the ground in the area. Perhaps this was Monkey’s head. If so Monkey was either a one of a kind pet (given the strange protuberances on the skull) or a very strange creature that inhabited the area. Hard to say!
