Motel 6 Spokane, WA - East

Straightforward budget property offering expanded cable TV, plus free morning coffee & parking.

We were looking at at least two days of travel, so booked a room with a fridge, using Motel 6s booking website. When we arrived we were told all the rooms with fridges had been taken. But then how did we reserve one? The person behind us had the exact same issue, and he complained it had happened at this same location multiple times. When we got to our room, the door handle only worked when lifted up several times (not pushed down); it was clearly loose and not working properly. Inside the room, the stopper in the bathroom sink was stuck in the closed position, and the lever to lift it was completely broken off. There was a previous guests clothing in the bathroom, and a very suspicious, dried, brown substance on the side of the tub (it wasn’t blood but definitely rhymes with “troop”). There’s WiFi but it’s open/unsecured. We brought all this to management’s attention and were told we could switch rooms. Granted, that was a viable option. But we’d already been traveling for days, and had unpacked most of what we needed for the night. It just wasn’t worth it, and there weren’t any other hotels nearby with rooms. I’ve stayed in some very nice, clean, and well staffed Motel 6s. This was NOT one of them. If you can avoid it, do.

Room smell so bad of smoke and body odor I left window open till I went to sleep and had to close it as I was on bottom floor. I had the gentleman working front desk come in and spray but it didn't help. Room was very clean and in good shape , just VERY offensive odor

We checked in late, approx 2am and got in fast w/military discount. I had a zoom meeting the day of checkout and Davis the Mgr graciously allowed us a later checkout at 12pm. Stated here a few years ago, and the staff now is 10 times better, more professional, accommodating and just plain Nice!! Surely we'll stay again if needing a good, clean, cheaper room at a moments notice!!
