This hotel looks like it would be really nice to stay it but it is not. So much money was spent on the trendy facade & seemingly none was left for staff training. I have NEVER been to a hotel where so many of the front desk staff were so quick to be rude and combative with guests. This happened to myself and I watched it happen to others as well.
I didn’t get a “for certain” answer from a single staff member during my stay. “We usually” “I think” “you should be able to” “they might be able to”… no matter what I asked, I wasn’t going to get an answer.
The night staff told me the bar’s kitchen was open when it had been closed for two hours. A bartender at Golden Hour told us that you had to go down and get wrist bands to come to the pool as hotel guests which was later refuted by the front desk. We ordered pillows to the room which didn’t come. After 40 minutes we tried to cancel but there was no answer at either the room service number or the front desk. We inquired about it in the morning & were told that there were spare pillows on our floor that we could have grabbed the previous night. Would have been nice to be told that when we called.
The way that Level 8 is advertised at the front desk makes it seem as if it’s part of the hotel. It would nice during the check in process if it was explicitly stated that while you are attached to that building, they are NOT a part of the hotel & you cannot use your resort credit nor the AmEx credit there. That was not clear to us.
The room itself was TINY. If you are sharing this room with someone, just know that there is not a separated bathroom. It’s right there in the room either a sliding door for shower/toilet. The sink is in the main bedroom.
Overall, I would not recommend this hotel to anyone who cares about having a nice experience where they are staying due to the staff being poorly trained and combative. That’s a real shame because the hotel itself is trendy. Absolutely not worth dealing with your staff. I wish I’d read the other reviews before wasting my time at this establishment.
