Surprisingly accessible. Well maintained. Outstanding is not a strong enough word to describe the views...just amazing vistas! Tours of the telescopes. An astronomical museum. Radio antennas and cell towers. A cafe that has food. Bathrooms. Much much more

On a nice weekend, I really enjoy driving up to the top of Mt. Wilson and enjoying a cup of coffee or a muffin at the Cosmic Café. There are several picnic tables, where you can sit and enjoy the view (if it's clear). There are also a few other picnic tables scattered about, so you can bring your own picnic and hang out. The observatory is a little hike away, from there you can look thru a telescope. It's nice to get out and be in nature, I find it very calming.
