I was recently discharged from good Sam hospital after a horrible POTS flare up. I was FINALLY heard by medical staff after being gaslit and turned away several times from St. Michael’s in Silverdale, being told I “just have anxiety”. Doctor Lisa Griffin did a full work up, and spent about thirty minutes analyzing my symptoms and thoroughly examining my physical health. She was warm and compassionate and did more in 30 minutes than I’ve had doctors do in 30 visits. Doctor Brian Paradise in internal medicine was also wonderful. Additionally my nursing staff Molly A, and ER tech Gabby helped me through severe tremors and lack of oxygen which was really scary. I felt taken care of, and heard, for the first time in a long time. A positive experience for what I was dealing with health wise.
THEY KILLED MY MOM! DO NOT TAKE YOUR LOVED ONES HERE. DO NOT LET THEM PUT ANYONE ON A VENTILATOR. My mom only had low blood pressure, was put on a ventilator, without knowing what was going to happen, and then they put her in a "coma" without telling her or notifying her family. We kept asking questions and got no real answers from the doctors. They had her like that for 2 WEEKS before they told us of the permanent damage that this did to her. When they intubated her, all the doctors left the room, and it was just me and my sister holding our mother's hands for over 2 hours while we watched her hands go purple and her gasping for air. Went out into the hallway and there was no one to be found. Push the emergency button multiple times nobody showed up. And now she's gone... I would love to know how many people they have killed in the past couple years by unnecessary putting people on ventilators for weeks that didn't need it. THIS IS RIDICULOUS AND NOBODY SHOULD HAVE TO GO THROUGH THE PAIN THAT MY SISTER AND I HAVE GONE THROUGH LOSING OUR MOM TO THIS PLACE WHEN SHE SHOULD STILL BE ALIVE
