On Sunday morning I was awakened to shouts of "FIRE" in The Murphys Digging. The residence next to mine was on fire. I called 911 and was connected to Dispatch. Before I could get off he phone, I could hear sirens and almost immediately Murphys Fire personnel were at the scene, followed shortly by Angels Camp Fire Department and CalFire. They were extremely professional and were able to protect surrounding neighbors. I can't thank them enough for what they did that morning.
