I've visited the MOG before, but it's been several years. While deciding how to spend our time on a rainy Saturday, my wife suggested making a stop here and the history museum (an equally enthralling visit). There are some truly wonderful pieces in the museum right now, many of which are best viewed in person. The Untamed: Anatomy of Desire and A Two-Way Mirror exhibitions were particularly intriguing.
Watching artists work in the Hot Shop and viewing the kids' glass designs are both highlights.
It may not be a constant problem, but the parking payment kiosks under the museum were running slow. One was basically out of order (stuck on a loading screen) and the second one had a long line to use it. There is an option to pay with the Flowbird app, but people in line mentioned they couldn't get service in the parking garage to do so.
Such a cool museum! The gallery is somewhat small but have plenty of stuff in the display. We have to say, one of the best parts of this glass museum is that they help kids create works based on their drawings, and we were amazed by how creative kids are. Talented glass makers! Also, you can see live demo on how they make all sort of glasses, that’s awesome!
We’re here for the NACIS conference, and saw this cool city nonplanimetric view. As a cartographer, I enjoy this piece of work a lot!
