105 Years of Tradition (since 1919), the oldest in Hollywood
If you're here as a tourist, you should come to a place like this with a clear feeling of a tourist destination. Even if it's a little more expensive than a local popular restaurant, the tourist restaurant like this also presents big fun. It is the one Charlie Chaplin also liked and it is the first restaurant in Holywood with history and tradition.
Waiters serve classic American fare & martinis to diners in red booths at Hollywood's oldest eatery.
You have to come check this place out at least once, it's a classic. A really fun, old Hollywood vibe, and the food was really good. Our waiter was great, we were the annoying people who had a show to get to, so he advised us against one of the dishes we were going to order because it takes a long time to come out. We were wondering about the dress code- it's definitely a place where you want to dress nicer, but we did see a couple of people wearing shorts.
