She doesn't take the responsibility of administering EMDR seriously. She was encouraging me to do it even when I was severely depressed, even though it involves confronting old trauma. She is too disorganized or possibly lazy to employ many of the safety steps needed to do EMDR safely. She never told me I could stop the process at any time which is key to feeling more empowered in regards to the trauma in the present (vs. how disempowering it was when it happened). We also never prepared by deciding which traumas to cover. Instead she just haphazardly had me pick a trauma and gave me no guidance on whether it should be a minor or major trauma. After several sessions, I was re-traumatized and felt dizzy and shaky for 3 days and was unable to work. I have never had an experience like that before and I hope you never have to go through it. It's sad because she is a nice person; it's just too bad she doesn't take her charge seriously and is therefore incompetent and dangerous to her patients.

Nadia Davani is a sympathetic and friendly person. She listens carefully and gives sensible advice with attainable, results-oriented suggestions. I have found my sessions with Nadia very helpful over the last few months.
