I went into Narrows Self Storage on Friday the 14th to get information about renting a unit that I needed for a move on the 23rd. I was given a reservation and told that they'd call me on the 21st, or I could come by on the 22nd to rent the unit. When no one called on the 21st, I came by on the 22nd and was told that my reservation had expired and the unit size I needed was now unavailable. When I tried to investigate what other sizes or options were available, I was told that they didn't want to rent to me because they had seen my car in the parking lot and they didn't want renters "hanging around." (my house is literally right next to the storage location.) When I asked to speak to the manager, the clerk refused to allow it.
Their units must be nice because this is the most laughably unacceptable customer service I've ever received in any situation. In 20 minutes I got a larger unit at Public Storage for $100 less per month and nothing but smiles and polite service to go along with it.
