Kamran and his associates have been particularly constructive in translation support for areas in developmental educational content. Our needs are usually very specific; and we feel that Natively Fluent is one of a few capable partners. Under their care, we have realized several multi-lingual projects that necessitated both translation and trans-adaptation skills for in the following languages: Arabic, Cantonese, French, Haitian Creole, Mandarin, Portuguese (Brazilian), Russian, Spanish, Tagalog, Vietnamese, and Urdu. For each language product we have always been able to soundly rely on the end products.
Natively Fluent has also provided much needed assistance in our educational audio programs. We have reached out for voiceover, authentic recordings, and technical support on numerous occasions and have always been more than satisfied. Natively Fluent has been resourceful in providing child, teen, and adult talent as well as native speaker and accented-speaker voice types for different languages. They have also lent their support to our audiobook publications in a number of genres such as fiction, fantasy fiction, realistic fiction, nonfiction, and comics.

The Idaho Commission for Libraries began working with Natively Fluent in 2022 to transcreate materials in Spanish aimed at parents and caregivers of young children. Our needs are unique in that we require translation of English material targeted to a very specific demographic, and must be culturally relevant, linguistically understandable, and developmentally-appropriate for Spanish-speaking families; therefore, “transcreation” rather than word-for-word translation is often necessary. This is a bit of a “labor of love” for both us and Natively Fluent, but the families who use our transcreated publications find them very useful according to annual surveys, and feedback has been very positive. We are working together to reach an underserved demographic here in Idaho, and I feel the work has had significant impact.
Before we awarded the contract to Natively Fluent, President Kamran Khan met with us via videoconference to gain better understanding of our project and needs. He was very attentive, and shared our mission to better serve families who have limited English proficiency and who are raising children in the United States. He was personable and clearly very passionate about his company’s mission.
Since working with Natively Fluent to transcreate several publications each month we have been very satisfied with the service we’ve received. Kamran and his team submit quality work, always on time, and often earlier than our stated deadline. Kamran is quick to respond to communications and easy to work with. Westchester Education Services had the pleasure of working with Kamran Khan and the Natively Fluent team on a large-scale Arabic translation program.
This project involved providing Natively Fluent with English language versions of our client’s School to Home Connection newsletters for parents of students in Grades K-8. The newsletters contained valuable information and activities for parents to help strengthen their students’ SEL skills (Social and Emotional Learning) at home.
Natively Fluent translated these newsletters to Arabic, made requested revisions after a review round, and provided Westchester with final InDesign files that were ultimately delivered to our client.
Kamran and his team quickly became excellent partners! Natively Fluent worked extremely well with Westchester’s World Languages and Translation department in providing translations of the highest quality that were culturally, linguistically, and developmentally fitting for Arabic-speaking parents.
Natively Fluent delivered each stage of this complex project on schedule and provided thorough and timely communication throughout the project.
