Is there a web site I missed? The trail to light house is 5 miles also no pets allow. Is there's web info to prepare visitors ahead of time whether trail info or what's allow and not allow there, would be great. I didn't get to visit because I can't leave my dog in the car for long hours to visit the light house. Wasted 2.5 commute time to get there to find out important info last minute.

It's a bit of a walk on the beach, roughly 5mi ea way. Some spots are easier than others to walk on, but it's worth it. The weekly lighthouse keepers were very knowledgeable, and you could tell they enjoyed being there. Suggestions-bring water and snacks lol! There is no halfway potty spot or garbage cans. The lighthouse has a really nice restroom and water station. I felt it in my feet and right knee/calf the day after. I have no knee or feet issues (FYI lol) Overall fantastic trip and would suggest to check it out.

The walk is no joke. It is 5 miles out to the light house and 5 miles back. If you are prepared to walk 10 cold wet miles on rocky sand, it is 100% worth it. I mean they let you go inside the light house so of course it’s awesome.
