We never even made it to a caregiver coming out.. during my in laws assessment I asked how many days before care could begin she said a week. I scheduled ON the SPOT, than was called a few days later and she asked for clarification about our care needs it's in VM and I called back and clarified. She did say she had to put it on a board, fast forward to Tuesday and boom no caregiver as it wasn't scheduled but could put in a last minuterequwst see if anyone wanted it. It wasn't a last minute request. Weird ALL 4 of the adults heard me schedule and even wrote on calendar and THEIR own office staff called to clarify but I "must of misunderstood " So after they called and told me no caregiver today they also told me Friday wasn't a guarantee either. I called Amada and they are expediting the process as they have a caregiver and apparently want my business. New Horizons has ALOT of kinks to work out....
New Horizons In Home Care is irresponsible when it comes to notifying clients of their caregivers calling out. I was told by a representative, the caregiver called out at 6am. This gave New Horizons plenty of time to contact the client. Instead New Horizons called 23 minutes prior to the shift HCA was scheduled for. An hour and a half later the client was told nobody was available to come out. New Horizons In Home Care had only been in the home one day prior to this experience. Would not recommend hiring for your loved ones.
