Dry and Why?! Lake water was sludge like and the campsite was plagued with rowdy and inconsiderate campers. The camp grounds had very sharp rocks so make sure to bring a pad. Water from the waterline was sometimes yellow. Don't Go!

My family has been camping in this area for over 30 years, but never during a pandemic. We were advised that there would be social distancing and mask enforcement but there was not and the Acorn (were I was) site was the only site with running water. New Malone’s was closed because of another sewer problem for 2nd year. 😞 I would rate less but it still remains a beautiful place to camp.

Rough camping. No water service, very hot and dry, and the people in the site next to us were up until 2 AM. Quiet hours were not enforced. Cars were driving up and down the road all night even though the front gate was supposed to be closed. We left the next morning for home, foregoing our Yosemite trip.
