In December of 2005, my husband and I moved to Spokane with our 2 little kids from a rural area that closed at 10pm and boasted 1 flashing light at a stop sign. By 2010, we had 3 more kids, a mortgage, and 2 dogs. We were staying forever. Until we weren’t. Life happened and we needed to sell the house and move back to our hometown. We found a house to buy in the little town, not an easy feat, and made an offer. We put our house on the market, but the first realtor we had was less than hopeful of our chances of selling during that time of year. She wanted us to drop our asking price and rarely replied to requests for feedback or input as to how to improve marketability and increase viewings. When her contract came to an end, I knew that we were going to have to go with a different agent if we were to have any chance of selling our house and buying the home waiting on contingency. In December 2023, we got a short extension on the contract for the house in our small town. It was right before Christmas when we were referred to Nick and signed on with him. I am so glad that we did! Knowing that it was going to be difficult to sell during winter break, and that we had a deadline on the other house, Nick wasn't afraid to get his hands dirty helping us get the house ready to go back on the market. Not only did he tell us what to do to make the house more marketable, but he helped with the things that needed to get done from day one all the way to the closing day of the sale! He even brought in someone to help clean! I feel I should take a minute to say that I am disabled and use a mobility device constantly, so certain household tasks are nearly impossible for me. My husband had been working out of town for 6 months and only home on weekends, and the kids have special needs, which might explain my extreme hair loss of late, but I digress. Apples and oranges, night and day, Realtor X and Nick, sign, list, open house, SOLD! That's right, 3 days with Nick did what 3 months elsewhere hadn't come close to accomplishing. On December 24th, Nick called us to tell us about 2 offers over our asking price. Yes, you read it right, Nick called us on December 24th, at 7pm, to give us 2 offers on the house! Did I think I'd be moving on January 1st? Sure. Yet another reason we needed Nick. Well, he helped us through the whole closing process too, and I can't help thinking that we had The Best realtor working for us. He moved boxes, cleaned and painted what we missed after we left for the break, kept in contact with all the other parties involved in closing, made sure we knew what was going on the whole time, and even stopped by and brought my packages inside that time they came early and we were still out of town- priceless. Did I mention he is patient and listens to rambling like he enjoys it and doesn't mind explaining things over again until you understand because he's a professional? He does, I checked, often. Will I buy another place here just so I can work with Nick again? Oh someday... a small cabin for li’l vacays, day trips. I will for sure recommend him to anyone looking to buy or sell in any area he covers.
