Bought my first handgun from these guys. Great customer service and walked me through the process including getting correct proof of residency with a new move. The guys took great care of me and my mother and law. Would recommend to anyone considering buying a gun. Thanks Eddie
Update: I have since come back to purchase another firearm for my wife, and am very glad I decided to do so. Once again staff were helpful and my wife felt comfortable even being new to the process.
If you like condescending employees that talk down to you and that do not seem eager to help you, go here.
I went here before a couple years ago and ran into the same attitude with these guys. I thought I would give them another chance. Wrong decision.
Update, I just left Sportsman's. They were super friendly and helped me get what I needed. Go here instead.
REDACTED Present: To say i feel betrayed isn't enough for what had transpired upon my entrance to Nor Cal Gun Vault yesterday.
It all started when there was a middle aged Caucasian lady who was tailing me to the gun store, so i got out and tried to ask her what was wrong, but she took that and blew it up into so much more than what it was, as we pulled up to Nor Cal gun vault, she frantically (for whatever reason she rides by, likely because I'm a person of color) ran inside the establishment and said there was a guy with a gun chasing me, now just to be clear, i have and always carry a taser with me and she took that and blew it up into a picture of me chasing her with a gun and attempting to shoot her and everybody else in Nor Cal gun vault, which is a complete and utter LIE, as i would never. I've spent close to a couple grand here and I've known the people working here for a little while now, but i guess that doesn't mean anything BASED ON THE DISGUSTING AND UNWELCOMING REACTION I WAS GIVEN UPON ENTERING THE STORE.
This store took the word of some random lady who probably never set foot or done business in this store and hard sided with her. When i walked closer to the employees, all 4 of which were standing in line formation with their ARMS CROSSED and quite the dirty look towards me, a valuable and respectful customer from the get go, EVEN AFTER REALIZING WHO I WAS, i felt disrespected, violated and honestly offended, in the end feel as if it all came down to race when this situation unfolded and because i was put in the corner and spot lighted for something i didn't do just because i am who I AM is ridiculous in every sense.
If you're anyone of color, whether it be Hispanic, Asian, or black or middle eastern, i DO NOT RECCOMEND visiting Nor Cal Gun Vault as your initial respect that you are given will fade into oblivion with these people. It hurts me a lot to write this as i thought i was friends with the Owner Eddie and his fellow employees but i guess the saying "The longer you know people, the more you realize what their true colors actually are" and i left yesterday 7/3/24 silently in tears as I've been betrayed from who i thought was a family to me, and people i trusted.
Past: Owner was really nice and genuinely keen on helping me on my first journey to owning a firearm, he took the time to explain everything thoroughly on how to build my rifle of choice and provided excellent hospitality. This gun store is worth the drive from wherever in Sacramento you may be. Hands down
