I first tried this restaurant for the first time last year and I’m so glad I found it.
It’s in a nice quiet part of Federal Way that is still central and easy to access.
When walking in, you initially notice how small the restaurant, but that adds to how intimate it is. The layout is great with the sushi bar being front and center and the dining on either side. The ambiance is perfect to feel like fine dining with low lights, beautifully simple decor, and soft music. It’s fairly quiet inside, which is a relief with how small it is and how easily it could get loud, but all the customers respect the preexisting volume level. The servers are very prompt and polite.
The menu is pretty expansive, so there is always something new to try. The prices are also extremely reasonable. Compared to other local sushi spots, the price for the quality is unmatched. All the ingredients are fresh and flavorful. Just the presentation alone is artistic.
I’ve ordered multiple of the appetizers and tried a variety of the rolls, and even the basic rolls are crafted with the same love and beauty as the specialty rolls.
This has become a favorite for a quiet and fancy date night and is my go to for sushi in Federal Way.
