In the time before covid, we drove up Highway 1 and stopped here—a bunch of us friends from all over the globe. Even though it was February and we could practically see the tide of pandemic coming across the sea, we decided to wade it. How could I not? I had never seen the Pacific and now it was right there. So we all went in, shin-deep. It was cold. Bracing. Absolutely magnificent.

Great free breach, has stairs and then a not too steep path leading down to the beach, and bathrooms (the outhouse kind). The back of the beach has rocks that you can climb on and it's a fairly big beach. I've added some pictures. Not much parking though, get there early!

It's a little chilly/windy sometimes but that's to be expected with all northern Cali beaches. Plenty of sand and really nice creek! Beware there is a staircase down from the parking lot that can be a little daunting (not dangerous) when carrying a lot of stuff but it's not bad. :)
