We moved to Chico from out of state, and had to find a new pediatrician fast for my (at the time) 1 month old son, and my almost 2 year old son. I've disliked this place since our first appointment, but had to keep going back because life was too busy to find another pediatrician with newborn appointments so close together. The actual doctor (Brown) doesn't even seem like she enjoys children at all. At my older son's appointment she hardly looked him over, and didnt see his eczema, then when I addressed my concern about it among other things like nutrition, she kind of brushed it off and didnt help me at all with it (just said he's fine and it'll work itself out). She just made weird remarks and annoyed facial expressions when my son was acting as all kids do (running around the room and anxious to leave). And my son who loves everyone, did not like this lady. Since he had to get all undressed and walk into the hallway and up onto the weigh table to get measured like a baby (even though he was 2), then did not want to get his ears/eyes looked at and heart listened to, she was visibly annoyed at him and was like 'well this probably isnt gonna work', as if she just gave up trying to do any sort of checkup. At my younger son's recent appointment he was due for a bunch of vaccines, but I was on the fence about even doing them. When she heard that she had this judgy attitude like 'well if you're not going to vaccinate your kids, we're gonna have a problem and I probably shouldn't be your doctor'. She said she was very pro vaccine and if I chose not to do it I would have to sign forms every time consenting that I know the risks and still choose not to vaccinate. And as for the office as a whole, I didn't think they were the best. Everything was very oldschool with the paperwork, and record keeping. It's been months now and they still havnt been able to get the records transfered over from their previous doctor. I called his old doctor myself and asked what the deal was, and they said they sent them the day of our first appointment, but will send them again. So obviously this new pediatrician office doesn't get records updated enough. We'll definitely be finding a new doctor for our next visits. Probably a homeopathic doctor who is actually concerned with their health and well being (more communicative about our concerns or doubts and works with us to educate and nurture)

I have been taking my kids to Dr Brown for years. They love seeing her and we always have a great experience. Dr Brown is very knowledgeable and friendly.
