Horrible, horrible customer service! They were supposed to deliver our orders on Wednesday. Throughout a day I called 3 times to confirm the delivery and every time I got an answer that the driver is in the area and will deliver today. Since our customer called us a few time to make sure they can get the delivery on Wednesday, I made another call, and was told the delivery will be around 3PM. Next time I called the driver was running late and will be here around 4PM. Next thing I heard, was that the orders were not on the truck. This is unacceptable! They should've checked the truck before promising the delivery that day over and over again. Not only that, but now our customer's are very upset and want the free delivery of their orders. When I contacted Oak harbor and wanted them to help us out to deliver the orders to our customers, all they could do apologize, but couldn't do any help (credits) for us to deliver to two different customer. Now, we have to suffer the lose and pay for the deliveries to please our customers. What a shame Oak Harbor freight lines!
I was pretty excited for my first delivery from my new product mfg. There was a little process around setting up the time for delivery and we settled on Thursday from 12-5. They said they'd call about an hour before the delivery.
I take a half day at work so I can be around to receive my packages. Come 4:45 nobody has shown up and I've gotten no calls. I call them and ask for an update. They tell me it was getting late - this is before 5 mind you - so their driver is heading home.
I ask what's going to happen now and their helpful suggestion was I take Friday off work too so they can deliver on Friday. I'm not burning my PTO to wait for someone that may or may not show up. They then tell me they could deliver to another address tomorrow, but they need that to come from the company that originated the order. That information wouldn't be in until tomorrow. I get the name of the lady I'm speaking with and she informs me when she'll be in.
I call at 8:15 and leave a voicemail for her as she's not in until 8:30. Come 9:30 I call back since I haven't heard anything. Asking what we can do, she informs me they didn't hear back from the shipper to change the address and because of the time of day, all the carriers have already left. We have to wait until Monday for a delivery and I'll have to take the day off work or allow them to leave the packages outside. I ask for her manager to see if there are solutions they can leverage.
I get to the manager and she's not at all understanding or apologetic. She mentions I can pick the packages up from their location. They're 45 minutes away. I ask if they can compensate me for the gas. They cannot. The only silver lining on this cloud is they're open until midnight so I don't need to fight traffic on the drive.
Now I get to spend my Friday night picking up packages that should have been delivered yesterday because they're unable to do their job.
I've never done this before, but I've called my manufacturer to tell them never to use these people again as well as the shipper that sub'd out to them. Check my other reviews. I'm not one starring places. This isn't common for me. Legitimately awful service.
