Update: Second watch, a Tissot automatic. Elijah returned it within 2 weeks paid nearly $300 for the repair. Didn’t work. Said he would revisit it and had to bring it back again. This time it took 2 months. I guess he was traveling but he was responsive when I called to get an update. When he said ‘the last person who worked on this did xyz… I have to fix that.’ I guess he forgot that he was the last person to work on it? He said if I wanted it back, he would remove a part (that I’d already paid for) and allow me to pick it up… after promising to deliver it to me because it wasn’t fixed the first time? But if I promised to change my first review, he would fix it. Keeping in mind this is after I had already paid for the repair and had to bring it back and nearly 3 months after I dropped this off the second time. The watch keeps time. However it condensates and the date doesn’t work. I called to ask, he said ‘bring it in’, I say ‘…ok’… he calls me right back and says ‘I don’t want to work with you. Your watch is not waterproof.’ It’s a tissot diver… I could deal with the bad customer service but not on top of poor work or willingness to follow through. Surly dude. Bad work. Tried 3 times and it just got worse.
Previous review: Had a watch fixed here- needed a new crown. Took a bit longer than I expected which was ok. However I was told they would call me with an estimate and timeline which didn’t happen- also, no big deal. Got frustrating when I had to call in 3 times over 3 weeks each time told they would call me back. Last time they did and the watch was ready. Cost $72 for a crown replacement and took 4 weeks. It’s a niche service and it appears to be good work but a little info, upfront pricing, and responsiveness would’ve made up for the high price and long turnaround.
