I recently needed a new home/work laptop to replace one that was rapidly failing. After chatting informally with Olympia Computer’s owner Erik Johnson and getting a few pointers as to minimum and recommended parameters for storage, processing and other attributes, I found a good replacement.
Transferring programs, files and data is always a huge challenge for me. I brought my old and new laptops to the Olympia Computer shop (on a Sunday). I also had a list of fairly generic questions about computer operations, software and security. TJ, a highly knowledgeable and personable technician, answered all of my questions clearly, without jargon and without patronizing me. Within a couple of hours, my new computer was ready to use and my old one was returned to factory settings.
