I have Dr. O’Leary and the wonderful staff at Olympic Family Chiropractic to thank for adding years back onto my life, and transforming my quality of life with a rare connective tissue disorder.
I have been struggling with mistreated cervical instability and shoulder dislocations for years, and moved to Washington as a last resort to find healthcare that could put a dent in my debilitating pain, nausea, vertigo, brain fog, and rapidly declining eyesight. All it took was one adjustment for my brain fog to spontaneously evaporate and my contact prescription to literally change (for the better) overnight. I went to get my new prescription which decreased by 1 whole point, and the astigmatism in my left eye changed while the other disappeared altogether. the eye doctor said he’d never seen anything like it. Within a couple months of weekly adjustments, my stomach paralysis went away completely and for the first time in YEARS… I’m able to eat meat again (I’ve been medically vegan due to being unable to digest meat and dairy. Turns out a dislocated atlas / neck puts pressure on important nerves and blood vessels, including those that control digestion.)
Truthfully, I had all but lost hope at managing my comorbidities of my connective tissue disorder, EDS, and with the wisdom and careful adjustments of Dr O’Leary, several of them have all but disappeared. I was in the process of being diagnosed with POTS (postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome) in January, had my first adjustment in February, and by my cardiologist appointment in June I no longer met the criteria; thanks both to the physical changes in my cervical instability, and the fact that my mild anemia went away with my intolerance to meat.
I’m so grateful to live close enough to access this care (at a more affordable cost than any doctor or chiropractor i’ve seen prior, I might add) and hope to have Dr. O’Leary and the wonderful staff at Olympic Family Chiropractic on my team for as long as they’ll have me (or until I don’t need them anymore 😉) There’s a reason so many of their reviews look like mine!
