This place is NOT somewhere you should go to go to sell children’s clothing that is New with Tags.
Despite the formula they state on their website, they will give you next to nothing.
No breakdown of how they come to the total of what they will give you.
It’s a total and complete rip off and waste of time.
On 55 items we brought in that were accepted- a large percentage were NWT. Items were over $30 on some. The items that did not have tags had been worn only once for a photo shoot, so we’re like new.
Zara, Old Navy, Gap, H&M ect. All on trend as it was for a TV shoot.
We were expecting a min of $ 215 based on what the website stated. They gave us 100$ I wasn’t there when they gave it to my husband, he didn’t know what to do as they were closing, so he just took it. Had I been there never would I of agreed.
I have to say this was our fault for coming just over an hour before they were closing. But we were told this was fine as long as it was no later. We live downtown, we do a car share program but none were available, so we had to take transit and a cab to even get there.
Utterly disappointed was an understatement. This works out to be apx 1.82 an item. How can that make sense on items that were closer to 40$ ?
What a waste of time….
To be fair though - We were given the opportunity to pick up the items if the cheque was not cashed - they gave us a deadline but unfortunately we were unable to make it due to being out of town due to a family medical emergency.
Knowing what I know now, I would arrive early, only take second hand clothes that were used (gently) but never take in New or Like New items. I certainly would not believe the formula the website shows. I would bring in items that other wise I would donate so anything was a bonus.
Go in with very low expectations- that way you won’t be shocked & upset at the end result.
Thank you to the owner / manager for responding to my concerns. For this I am giving it an extra star
It’s still a mystery to me how they choose the clothes that they buy and how they determine how much they’ll pay you (5$ for almost new hiking shoes???). Found lots of very used clothes in the baby section some even had stains, yet the onesies I brought weren’t taken and they looked way better and newer than the ones on the racks. Also not fun that they ask you to bring in the clothes nicely folded but return the box all upside down. I also find their pricing odd from time to time as a Walmart shirt was priced at 5.50$ but new in Walmart is 4$.
I’d say if you want to sell only bring things you would donate and don’t expect them to pay you a lot for it.
If you are buying it’s good to come when they have sales like 20 onesies for 10$ or just make sure you check the clothing and the prices well. Sometimes you can find really cute things.
Overall it’s a hit or miss most of the time.
