Being an “older” adult who cares about his physical health and devotes time and effort to it, I realized last fall that despite all the strength training I did, my flexibility was going downhill, and I needed to do something about that. Something about having trouble bending over and lifting your leg at the same time to put on socks can do that to a person! I decided yoga was the answer. I looked around for a yoga studio, and of all the places I contacted, Lindsay Lambert at One Mind Yoga/Paddling Yogini in Issaquah showed the best understanding of what I was seeking. Lindsey took the time in a one-on-one conversation to discuss my goals and recommend specific classes that could support them.
I tried a class at one of the big studios, and then I tried One Mind Yoga. The difference was amazing! No big studio for me! I have now been doing classes at One Mind for eight months, and I love how Lindsay explains so much detail throughout the class about exactly how each exercise impacts the body, which muscles are being challenged or stretched, what are good modifications, etc. As someone who is very conscious about how physical activity impacts my body, I truly appreciate Lindsay’s ongoing explanations.
After eight months of work with Lindsay, my flexibility and stability have increased dramatically! Putting on socks is a breeze!
