Please be aware that all of the excellent below are NOT for the person you are actually hiring. Read them carefully - they are for an individual named David, not Greg of One Knight DJ. We were unfortunately deceived, and hired Greg. About a week before our wedding he completely fell apart, forgot details we'd gone over multiple times, kept calling us and asking for answers he should've had about what equipment he should bring and how to work with our videographer... stuff a professional should know that we certainly did not. And on our wedding day, he failed to show up at the time we agreed to, blamed us for not writing it down for him, then couldn't or forgot to do all the things he'd said he would when we went over the (extremely detailed) schedule and notes with him a couple weeks prior. He completely bungled our otherwise beautiful ceremony and it was incredibly disappointing. The rest of the night continued to be frustrating. He hadn't looked at the map we'd sent him of the venue and obviously hadn't really planned to make sure the sound would get to where it needed to be. He interrupted our photos to complain to us about another vendor. He also made fun of a couple of our guests, and brought his underage daughter along without letting us know beforehand (apparently after we and most of our guests had already left, he was videotaping her out on the dancefloor by herself? What???) The entire experience was just so unprofessional. Looking back, we should've realized there was a problem in the planning stages (Greg was often unprofessional and hard to get in contact with, and would be confidant about his ability to do something one day, then act like we were asking for something insanely difficult the next), but we were blinded by the good ratings we saw on this site and Greg's early confidence and outgoing personality. Please don't be duped like we were.
