I highly recommend Ki at Opus Physio if you need a PT who is going to give you thorough, thoughtful, and kind treatment. I had been experiencing extreme pain in my lower back and hips for months, and nothing was working. I wanted to get back to running so badly, but didn't see how that would happen, as the pain would not go away.
I came to see Ki and I felt my anxiety subside instantly because I knew I was in good hands. I felt hopeful for the first time in months. He conducted a thorough assessment and came up with a treatment plan. His treatments incorporate massage and stretching, strength training, and cupping if necessary. He is punctual, communicative, and very caring, often checking in via email and text. I am so grateful for his help in getting my life back, and I cried the first time I was able to run again. Thank you Ki!
I came across Opus Physio when Ki was at a Pacific Pipes event. I’ve been having some issues with mobility, particularly in my shoulders, and had gone to see other PTs about it. While the recommendations with these other PTs weren’t wrong, I continued to feel weak as I was only passively stretching and using PT bands. I didn’t feel stronger, the mobility issues were still there, and one can only hear “maybe stop doing the hobby you love” as a form of PT.
Ki listened to where I was coming from and heard what did and dis not work. To start, he gave me both passive and active exercises to do, stretching and strengthening my trouble areas. As the sessions progressed, some exercises were replaced and he would recommend loading up on weights or provide suggestions on when to back off. Towards the end, he also did some bodywork (hot take: cupping therapy is a form of torture).
So can I do all the crazy moves now? No. Do I have more mobility than when I started and has it stayed? Resounding yes. If you’re an athletic person, who has mobility/strength issues and is unlikely to stop pushing themselves in their sport, I would definitely recommend you check out Ki and Opus Physio. 👍🏼
