This was my first visit to an Orangetheory, and I really enjoyed it. I have been out of practice in going to the gym since Covid and needed to begin a regular workout routine again that would challenge and motivate me. From the moment I walked in, I felt very welcome by the staff. Since it was my first class, there was even a little welcome sign they had prepared that read, "Welcome Maximillian". That little 'extra' meant a lot. As far as the workout went, the pace as well as the coach who led the class were great. I was new and a bit uncomfortable going in, but everyone was welcoming, and I never felt bad for not being knowledgeable about all of the exercise techniques compared to the others there who seemed to have it all down. That experience is what prompted me to join after my first class. Not intimidating at all, but a truly great overall workout. I burned over 800 calories in an hour and felt great about having got out of my house and into a gym. I will start by going twice per week now. I recommend that you at least take advantage of their first-class free option. You have nothing to lose. There is no high-pressure sales tactics either.
Update: Going into my 3rd month and I still love it. No two workouts are the same and it's been a great mix of strength and cardio. I travel for work and have had no problem getting in workouts throughout the country with my OT membership. From Portland to DC, I've been able to go and maintain my workout schedule. Still highly recommend.
