This was my first time golfing here and it will be my last. Coming in, the view is beautiful, the cafe and food looks tasty enough for a golf course, and the staff initially seemed friendly and accommodating. However, we started our tee time 15 minutes late. Which was fine, we didn't mind waiting.
At the turn, we were hungry so we decided to stop for some food at the cafe. 10 minutes passed by the time we ordered food, used the restrooms, and had the food brought out to us. I'm a fast eater and I was starving, so I would say I inhaled my food in 2 minutes, and by then we were ready to start the back 9. However, the marshal came to us and said we needed to play the front 9 again. He said we waited too long, that folks usually play through with no breaks, and that they were backed up so we needed to play the front 9. However, the group behind us was also taking a break! They weren't ready to start, and the people before them were 5 minutes out from finishing the front 9. Which was plenty of time for us to start the back 9, especially since there was still a queue for the front 9.
We tried to reason for a while (the time we could've moved on and started the back 9). However, we were told to start the front 9 again. We waited in the queue for 15 minutes again!
The marshal did not do a good job coordinating the times and added so much unnecessary inefficiencies to the play.
I met up with the folks initially behind us during our first front 9 run once we finished and they said that the people behind them were way behind them and never caught up. So we could have definitely played through.
What was worst were the people we played with. We were paired with men during our plays. The first guy made uncomfortable sexual comments. The second guy kept stopping our balls while we played. If this is the type of crowd this course attracts, I will not be coming back.
Advice if you're thinking about golfing here: 1) choose a different golf course. 2) don't do carts if you are able to since I don't think they were worth it. You can only use them on the paved path, and the holes are par 3s and 4s (mostly 3s) and easily walkable. You're waiting behind people anyway. 3) bring your own food or play hungry if you want to do the full 18.
