At Ospi in Venice, the Spicy Rigatoni is a dish that truly stands out, especially if you’re a fan of the classic Penne alla Vodka from Locanda Portofino. Ospi’s version delivers a similar creamy, spicy experience but at a more approachable price point, making it an excellent value for the quality you receive. The rigatoni is cooked perfectly al dente, holding onto the rich vodka sauce with just the right amount of spice to keep it interesting without overpowering the dish. It’s comforting, satisfying, and slightly addictive—a must-order if you’re craving that familiar, velvety vodka sauce but don’t want to break the bank.
Beyond the Spicy Rigatoni, the other dishes I tried also deserve a quick mention. The Eggplant was tender and flavorful, paired beautifully with a spicy tomato oil and parmigiano fonduta. The Crispy Provolone, with its crispy exterior and gooey interior, was elevated by the accompanying vodka sauce. Lastly, the Malloreddus with beef cheek ragu was hearty and rich, a great option for those looking for a more substantial dish.
Ospi offers a blend of sophisticated flavors in a casual setting, making it a great spot for both a quick meal or a relaxed evening out. The Spicy Rigatoni alone is worth the visit, especially if you’re seeking that classic Italian comfort with a modern twist.
Omg. What DIDN’T we get!? It was all so good and portions are pretty good for sharing, which I was surprised by!
Enjoy all the photos. The dishes tasted just as good as they look. If not even BETTER.
TOP TWO: Kale Salad. Idk what kind of magic the dressing is but I want to learn it. It was so so so good. Usually kale can be bitter and not so tasty, but if I can have them this way I’d eat it for all three meals! Vodka Pizza. Originally wasn’t going to get it but the server recommended us to get a vodka sauce item and this was FIRE. That crust was soooo thin. Idk how it held itself up but it did and it was crispy!!!!
Go go go. Enjoy!
