This facility has had some very nice caregivers, but they never last long. My mom is a diabetic and, although we were promised she would have diabetic meals, she was given the same food as everyone else. Several times the family found medication sitting in my mom’s cupboard, sometimes several days worth. Trying to communicate with the executive director is a joke. Voicemail box full, often no response to emails. My mom recently had to go to the hospital. While she was gone from the facility, there was a Stop Placement put in place, meaning she could not go back to Pacifica after her hospital stay. No one even called to tell the family! When we came to move my mom’s belongings, her room had been ransacked. Blankets and clothes all over the floor, her glasses and several other items had been stolen, someone had been using the toilet (which was filled with mildew also), and there was a large chair in the room which was not my mom’s. The setting is beautiful, but they really need to train their staff and get their act together.
