Service wasn’t satisfactory at all
Pasta was just okay - neither good or bad.
The portion sizes for gf dishes are much smaller.
I am going to start with the only truly good thing at Paliotti's (that our group experienced, anyway): the food. Delicious and great portions. If that's all you want out of a restaurant, by all means, give this place a shot.
HOWEVER, if you would like to have good food AND good service, you might want to go elsewhere. The staff were somewhat Discordian, in that none of them really seemed to know where they were going or what they were doing at any given time.
When we sat down and were being given water to start, we noticed that two of our glasses had either been previously used or not sufficiently cleaned, as the lip stains of the prior customers were still on the rims.
After being told they were out of Pepsi, they gave us a single pitcher of iced tea (to be shared between five people) and never received another offer of a refill for the entire hour and a half we were there. Even when we stopped a server and requested a refill, the server disappeared and never came back.
Forty five minutes after ordering, we finally received our food. I will not complain about the food. It was very good, and worth the price.
The wait staff was not at all vocal. Even when taking the empty plates away, we were met with silence.
When presenting us with our bill, even, the waitress remained mute, and seemed rather stunned that her service did not warrant us leaving a tip. But instead of asking the gentleman paying the bill, she asked the two quietest guys in our group if the service was OK.
TL; DR: Good food, bad service.
Went on a little date night with my girlfriend here and it was amazing. The food was so good and the portions were huge so we are definitely taking leftovers home!
Highlight of the night, was the service. I’ve been to a good amount of restaurants I’d say and I’ve worked professionally in customer service related jobs for a while and our server Simran was fantastic. Super friendly and so kind. Upbeat personality and was so happy to be here. She was chatting to us but nothing crazy and the best service I’ve gotten in a long time
