Awesome store. Friendly staff. Clean. They except used clean books and part of those sales go to Beaufort County literacy volunteers. A wonderful program.

Just visited Washington for the first time, and wow! -- Pamlico Books is a true gem! A wonderful independent book store. Tom, the owner, couldn't have been more friendly, and he's got recommendations for all your reading needs. The only reason I didn't buy more books is because I couldn't carry them! Please visit Pamlico Books -- you won't regret it!

How lucky we are in Washington to have such a special place! This bookstore is full of heart and joy. The owners are so welcoming and caring of each person that comes to their shop. Tom is genuinely excited about books and makes our kids smile each time we go. The children’s section is really fun to browse but the entire store is a gem. They have high quality toys too! Definitely recommend!!
