As another reviewer commented. I placed an order. Status indicated the book was shipped - but no tracking number was provided. After the estimated arrival had passed, I tried to contact the seller. No reply. I know that the mail is slow these days, but without a response from the seller I am left wondering if they are even still in business.

This dealer has been in the business for many years,and has a relatively abundant inventory for every taste.

However, my recent experiences with her are, like others' posted here recently, quite negative.

I visited the current shop a few years years ago and was taken aback at the owner's abrupt discourtesy. Decided to go in today, and was again offended by her comments regarding my declining to purchase a book that was unpriced. Many books are unpriced, many seem somewhat overpriced, based on internet perusals.

There are many better better bookstores in the Portland area still with friendly, interested personnel. This is not one of them.

I hesitate to give such a poor rating because if you don't have kids this might be a great used book shop. But if you do have children, this review is for you. This book store may have a children's section but the owner does not like children. I, like several others, had a terrible experience with my children reading the books and having the owner ask me to not let them touch the books. My husband and I love to read. We have tons of books (both adult and children). I buy most of my children's books second hand and have never had a problem in a book shop before. I completely respect that there are places children aren't welcome but don't have a children's section if you don't want children in your store.
