I’ve shopped with this company for years. It ends today.
I was in the shop purchasing over $300 of cards and wrap. When the transaction was completed, I noted the cards I purchased were not discounted as posted. “Oh, those cards aren’t included in the sale.” Okay…so I walked over to the table I had picked up the cards from—which boldly stated on the sign ON the table they were on sale. I returned to the same employee to point that out. She then said, “Oh, we didn’t have anywhere else to put the cards, but they’re not on sale.”
I’ve been in retail for 40 years and now own my own retail company. To think she thought this was acceptable was ridiculous. I returned them.
I normally spend up to $2,000 per year at this store for personal and company purposes. That evaporated with the stupidity I experienced.
If retailers bemoan consumers spending less this holiday season, try taking care of the customers there to support you.
