I didn’t know I was using self-checkout when I stepped into a regular line to support the workers, but apparently that’s what’s going on at the Edmonds location where baggers begin to bag your groceries and then completely abandon their task mid-transaction with no explanation, leaving my groceries un-bagged, scattered on the counter with my personal bags thrown about when the checker hands me my receipt. The kind checker apologized on behalf of the bagger who couldn’t care less.
