Our in-town move with PDX Movers was unfortunately not a five-star experience. Firstly, our move was drastically underbid. We were initially told it would take a crew of 4 7 hours to move our 3-bedroom house. It became apparent after 3 hours that the crew would have to increase to 5, and they had to work overtime to complete the move. This discrepancy cost us $700 over the estimate. Also, they could not fit everything in the truck so we ended up having to make multiple trips ourselves to move the remaining items. Secondly, several items were damaged during the move including our daughter's crib. It was not safe to use and we've had to purchase a replacement. We have not yet filed a claim for the crib, but based on other reviews of the claims process, I may not even bother. Lastly, I received a text message today from PDX Movers claiming that due to an error on the part of their movers, I owe them an additional $71.36 with no explanation as to why, nor why it took them a week and a half to notice. This is especially infuriating when our estimate was so far off, yet they feel the need to try to collect more money due to their own incompetence. I cannot recommend PDX Movers to anyone.
Riley, Isai, and Thomas from PDX Movers helped us with a local move into our new house in the Portland area. They were very efficient and completed the move much faster than we thought it would take, given how much stuff we had. They were well-planned and communicative, and we knew what to expect every step of the way. On top of this, they were very friendly and respectful of all our things.
Also, shout out to the folks in the office since they were very friendly and helped us coordinate the move.
Absolutely will be using their moving services again in the future!
