I had a bad experience at Pearl ACE Hardware today.
I went in to look for more shelves for my kitchen cabinets. When I walked in the guy who greeted me was very nice. He directed me to isle 12 and said someone would meet me there to help me.
That guy unfortunately was very rude. Throughout the exchange I felt like he didn't want to be speaking to me and was trying to rush me along to end the conversation. That feeling like any second he was going to walk away from me made it difficult to think and to understand what he was telling me.
I also am disappointed in the help I received on the phone the day before. I called in explaining that I need new shelves for my kitchen cabinets, that they need to be 23" x 28.5" and 23" x 12". The lady I spoke with on the phone told me to bring the shelves in and that they'd be able to cut new ones for me as long as I'm ok with it being a little rough on the cut end.
I don't have a car so I walked with both of them to the store, a difficult 15 minutes, but when I got to the store the guy I worked with said they can only cut in 12 inch segments and so wouldn't be able to help me. I don't know much about this stuff, but only being able to cut in 12 inch segments seems kinda disappointing for a hardware store.
Oh man just flat out terrible and being the "place with the helpful hardware person" but great at groups of employees talking with each other and ignoring the people that came to buy things. 6/16- I see "the store" responded with gaslighting. To be expected I suppose. Easier than taking responsibility. I added my bike town receipt in the photo to prove to "the store" that they are in fact the store with the substandard service
When to buy 2 locks, new packaging came with 2 lock and 2 different keys, try to get a new key and they ask me to get the whole locks and keys, already installed the locks on tools boxes! the 1 key guy and another old lady at the check in was very rude like I was getting try to take advantage of, I never post a bad or good review but this place and their customer service is very bad, I hoped I can do minus starts. They need to work on how to treat customers, never ever going back to that place!
